lemme see... how should i start... here goes...there is this cca in my school called SFC which is Saints For Christ in short. i was always wondering what it does but did not go for it as i decided to join photography. since there was no photography today, i decided to go for it. it turned out that this cca is like a cell group or sunday school. it really set me thinking more about Jesus today.
we went through matthew 22:34-40.
But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him,"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?"And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'"This is the great and foremost commandment."The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'"On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."
i'm sure this passage is not new to anybody. but have we really done what Jesus asked us to do?
now one of the mentor asked,'what does it mean to be Jesus' disciple?' and one student answered. 'it is to live like Jesus and walk like Jesus such that people can see Him in us.' how true is this!
how can people tell that we christians are different from people of other religion? i believe it is the way we express our love to anybody and everybody, even if it is our enemies. this is one difficult job Jesus assigned. but i'm sure He confirmed us this, following the path of Jesus, or God as a matter of fact, is and will never be easy.
Jesus found it difficult to accept the cup and die on the cross as well. nevertheless, he did it. otherwise, i would not be blogging about this at all. thus we can learn this lesson from Jesus, indeed it is never easy to follow God's will but when we really do it, a greater good or plan is accomplished.
what plan? God's plan...
i guess its time for me to live up to my name.
